I, said that I love (eternal schemes),

I, cling to my past (like childish dreams)
I, promised to stay (and dwell my grief)
I, went far away.
I see blood spilled 'neath my feet,
Lead me through wastelands of deceit,
Rest your head now, don't you cry,
Don't ever ask the reason why.

There's nothing like a little bit of your favorite music to bring you back to earth. My boyfriend and I recently embarked on a journey, a journey to Opeth. It's the second time I've seen them live, and I have two things to say of them immediately:
1. Mikael Akerfeldt is still amazing.
2. Opeth fans are still idiots.

For the most part the concert was rather enjoyable. Good Music is always good atmosphere. The worst thing about it was that people still continue to ignore the no-smoking-in-public-buildings law that was instated a while back., making it uncomfortable for an asthmatic to breathe. That is generally agitating and unfair. I can't help that smoke bothers my lungs, and causes my airways to close, ask my parents they can tell you, they smoke as well, it's a little easier for you to walk outside to light up, to take care of your own habits, than for me to have to go through an attack. Another problem at the concert: Weed. Obviously another law being ignored. I was genuinely sick to my stomach at the smell, which also made me have to plug my nose, making it doubly hard to breathe. C'mon people!

Aside from having to beat off mentally-challenged moshers, who reeked mind you, and the fact that someone threw a lit cigarette on my leg and burned it, Opeth was amazing. =) I only wished they would have played Porcelain Heart, my favorite song: see lyrics above. They did play some great songs though. And I'm sure Mikael had some awesome things to say, if only I could hear it over the extremely rude Enslaved fans.

Anyway, time is money. I need to sleep so I can do something productive in a few hours...

Go see Opeth in concert. NOW.
